George Eaton (racing driver)

George Eaton (racing driver) (born December 12, 1945, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a retired Canadian racing driver who competed in Formula One during the 1960s and 1970s.

Eaton began his racing career in Formula Ford and Formula B, demonstrating early promise. He progressed to Formula One in 1969, initially with the BRM team. He continued with BRM until 1971, often struggling with unreliable machinery.

His Formula One career was largely unremarkable, often hampered by mechanical failures and lack of competitive equipment. He did not score any World Championship points. His best race finish was 10th place at the 1970 Austrian Grand Prix.

Eaton’s involvement in Formula One also included sponsorship through his family's banking business, Eaton's of Canada. This allowed him to continue racing despite a lack of significant results.

After leaving Formula One in 1971, Eaton participated in other forms of motorsport, including Can-Am racing. He later retired from professional racing.
