Take a Chance (American game show)

Take a Chance was an American television game show that aired on ABC from 1950 to 1951. Hosted by Jack Paar, the show featured contestants answering trivia questions. The primary unique element of the show was the "Chance" portion.

Following a round of trivia questions, contestants had the opportunity to "take a chance" on a potentially more difficult question. If they answered correctly, they significantly increased their winnings. However, a wrong answer meant they forfeited all the money they had accumulated up to that point.
