Mixed Blessings (British TV series)

Mixed Blessings is a British television sitcom that aired on ITV from 1995 to 2000. The show revolves around the lives of the Millers, a mixed-race couple living in London. Henry Miller, played by Christopher Blake, is a white businessman, and his wife Susan Miller, played by Yasmin Bannerman, is a Black schoolteacher.

The series explores the challenges and humorous situations that arise from their differing cultural backgrounds, as well as the everyday trials and tribulations of family life. Key storylines often involve their children, Katie and Matt, played by Lois Temel and Ashley J. Griffiths respectively, navigating their own identities and experiences. The show also features supporting characters such as Henry's traditional and often prejudiced mother, Beryl (Gwen Watford, and later, Charmian May), and Susan's more understanding and supportive mother, Eunice (Carmen Munroe).

Mixed Blessings aimed to tackle issues of race and identity with humor and sensitivity, although it sometimes faced criticism for its perceived stereotypes or simplification of complex issues.
