Mineur (crater)
Mineur is a small lunar impact crater that lies within the northeastern part of the floor of the prominent crater Apollo, on the far side of the Moon. It is a relatively featureless, bowl-shaped depression in the lunar surface. The crater was named after the French word for "minor," and is part of a series of similarly named small craters within Apollo, likely chosen to distinguish them during lunar mapping efforts. Due to its small size and location within a much larger and more significant feature, Mineur is not a particularly noteworthy crater in its own right. Its primary significance lies in its context within the Apollo crater formation.
