Anjuman (actress)
Anjuman Shaheen (born 1955), also known mononymously as Anjuman, is a Pakistani film actress who primarily worked in Urdu and Punjabi-language films. She was a prominent figure in Pakistani cinema during the 1970s and 1980s, known for her beauty, dance skills, and dramatic performances.
Anjuman began her acting career in the early 1970s and quickly rose to prominence. She starred in numerous commercially successful films, often portraying strong female characters in both action and romantic dramas. Some of her notable films include Waada, Sher Khan, Chan Veryam, and Saiqa. She frequently collaborated with leading actors of the time, such as Sultan Rahi and Nadeem Baig.
Beyond acting, Anjuman was also a skilled dancer and her performances contributed significantly to the popularity of her films. Her career began to decline in the late 1980s and she eventually retired from the film industry.
Her personal life has also been subject to public attention. She was previously married to businessman, Mobin Malik, who was murdered in Lahore in 2019. She later married film producer Lucky Ali.
