Mike Smith (2000s pitcher)
Mike Smith (born November 29, 1976) is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Milwaukee Brewers (2002-2003) and the Florida Marlins (2003-2004).
Smith, a right-handed pitcher, was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 10th round of the 1995 MLB draft. After spending several years in the minor leagues with the Astros and later the Brewers organizations, he made his major league debut with the Brewers on June 1, 2002.
Throughout his MLB career, Smith primarily served as a relief pitcher. His career statistics include an ERA of 4.82, with 40 strikeouts in 61.2 innings pitched. He appeared in a total of 64 MLB games.
Following his major league career, Smith continued to play in the minor leagues.
