Miguel Monteiro (athlete)

Miguel Monteiro (born May 27, 1981) is a Portuguese track and field athlete who specializes in the shot put.

Monteiro has represented Portugal in numerous international competitions, including the Olympic Games. He competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, failing to reach the final round on both occasions.

He has also competed at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics, the European Athletics Championships, and the European Athletics Indoor Championships. Monteiro has consistently been among the top shot putters in Portugal throughout his career.

His personal best in the shot put is 21.07 meters, achieved in 2012.
