Honeycomb (album)
Honeycomb is the debut studio album by American indie rock band, Frankie Cosmos. It was released on September 30, 2014, independently. The album features a collection of short, lo-fi songs characterized by simple melodies and introspective lyrics, typical of the band's earlier work. The album was primarily written and performed by Greta Kline (later known as Greta Kline Klinebaum), the band's frontwoman. It was recorded in a bedroom studio setting, contributing to its intimate and DIY aesthetic. While initially self-released, the album gained wider recognition and helped establish Frankie Cosmos as a prominent figure in the indie music scene. Honeycomb is considered a formative work in the band's discography and a cornerstone of their early sound.
