NEARfest

NEARfest (Northeast Art Rock Festival) was an annual progressive rock festival held in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA, from 1999 to 2012. It was considered one of the premier progressive rock festivals in North America, showcasing both established and emerging artists from around the world. NEARfest was known for its diverse lineup, spanning various subgenres of progressive rock, including symphonic prog, neo-prog, experimental rock, and progressive metal. The festival was generally held over a weekend in June and attracted attendees from across the United States and internationally. After a decade and a half, the organizers announced the festival's retirement in 2012, citing financial challenges and increasing logistical difficulties as contributing factors.
