SureSmile

SureSmile is a brand of clear aligner orthodontic treatment used to straighten teeth. It is an alternative to traditional braces and other clear aligner systems like Invisalign. SureSmile aligners are custom-made using digital scanning, 3D modeling, and robotic manufacturing to create a series of clear, removable aligners.

The process typically begins with a consultation and comprehensive examination by a certified SureSmile provider (usually an orthodontist or dentist). Digital scans of the patient's teeth are taken to create a virtual 3D model. The provider then uses specialized software to plan the desired tooth movements throughout the treatment. This treatment plan is used to fabricate a series of aligners, each designed to shift the teeth slightly.

Patients wear each set of aligners for a designated period, typically one to two weeks, before moving on to the next set in the series. The duration of treatment varies depending on the complexity of the case but generally ranges from several months to a couple of years. Regular check-up appointments with the provider are necessary to monitor progress and ensure the treatment is progressing as planned.

SureSmile aligners are made of a proprietary clear plastic material. They are designed to be virtually invisible and comfortable to wear. While wearing the aligners, patients are typically advised to remove them for eating, drinking (anything other than water), brushing, and flossing.
