Michael Findlay (soccer)

Michael Findlay (born April 2, 1983) is a Canadian soccer coach and former player.

Findlay played as a defender during his professional career, which spanned from 2006 to 2016. He primarily played in the USL First Division (later USL Championship) and the North American Soccer League (NASL). Teams he played for include the Rochester Rhinos, Atlanta Silverbacks, Puerto Rico Islanders, and San Antonio Scorpions.

Internationally, Findlay represented the Canadian national team, earning several caps. He was a part of the Canadian squad for various international competitions, including World Cup qualifiers.

Following his playing career, Findlay transitioned into coaching. He has held various coaching positions, including roles within the Canadian national team setup and with clubs in the United States. He served as an assistant coach for Canada's senior men's national team and has also worked with youth national teams. He was briefly the interim head coach of the Canadian men's national team in 2020.
