Benny B

Benny B was a Belgian hip-hop and electronic music group, popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The group consisted of Benny B (real name Benoît Marissal), the rapper, and his two dancers, Daddy K (real name Eric Vercleyen) and DJ D. The trio gained fame primarily in French-speaking Europe with their catchy and danceable tracks.

Benny B's music was characterized by simple, repetitive lyrics, often focusing on themes of friendship and having fun. Their biggest hit was "Vous êtes fous!" (You're crazy!), which topped the charts in several countries. Other notable songs included "Mais vous êtes fous!" and "Qu'est-ce qu'on fait maintenant?".

Despite their commercial success, Benny B faced criticism for the perceived lack of depth in their lyrics and musical complexity. They were often considered a manufactured pop act rather than genuine hip-hop artists.

The group disbanded in the mid-1990s, and its members pursued individual projects. Benny B himself largely faded from the public eye.
