Michael Roach (musician)

Michael Roach is an American Piedmont blues guitarist and singer. He is known for his fingerstyle guitar playing and his dedication to preserving and promoting the Piedmont blues tradition.

Roach learned directly from some of the last surviving masters of the Piedmont style, including Rev. Gary Davis, and he has dedicated his career to carrying on their legacy. He teaches workshops and performs internationally, sharing his knowledge and passion for this distinct genre of American blues. His repertoire includes traditional songs, original compositions in the Piedmont style, and interpretations of classic blues standards. He has released several albums showcasing his guitar skills and vocal abilities. Roach is considered a leading figure in the contemporary Piedmont blues scene.
