Thomas Parkinson (priest)

Thomas Parkinson (dates of birth and death unknown) was an English clergyman and academic who served as the Master of Christ's College, Cambridge, from 1738 to 1760.

Very little is definitively known about Parkinson's early life and education prior to his association with Christ's College. He was a Fellow of Christ's College before becoming Master. His election to the Mastership followed the death of John Newcome.

As Master of Christ's College, Parkinson oversaw the administration and academic life of the college for over two decades. The period of his mastership was largely uneventful, though the college continued to educate students and maintain its scholarly reputation. Detailed records of his specific activities and initiatives during his tenure are scarce.

He resigned the Mastership in 1760, and his subsequent life is largely undocumented. His successor as Master of Christ's College was John Shaw.
