Tubney

Tubney is a village and civil parish in the Vale of White Horse district of Oxfordshire, England. It is located approximately 5 miles (8 km) southwest of Abingdon-on-Thames.

The name "Tubney" is likely derived from the Old English personal name "Tubba" combined with "ēg," meaning island or land in a river meadow.

Historically, Tubney was part of Berkshire until the 1974 boundary changes transferred it to Oxfordshire.
