Michael Blackwood (sprinter)

Michael Blackwood (born April 29, 1976) is a retired Jamaican sprinter who specialized in the 400 metres.

Blackwood represented Jamaica at the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics. In 2000 in Sydney, he was a member of the Jamaican 4x400 metre relay team that initially finished third, but were later upgraded to silver medalists after the United States team was disqualified. He also competed in the individual 400 metres event, reaching the semi-finals. In 2004 in Athens, he again participated in the 4x400 metre relay, with the team finishing fourth. He also competed in the individual 400 metres, failing to advance from the first round.

Blackwood's personal best time in the 400 metres is 45.00 seconds, achieved in July 2000 in Mexico City. He also has a personal best of 20.59 seconds in the 200 metres.
