John Anderson (footballer, born 1878)

John Anderson (born 1878, date of death unknown) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a forward.

Anderson began his career with local clubs before joining Scottish First Division side St Mirren. He featured sparingly for the "Saints" before moving to England to sign for Southern League club Swindon Town in 1901. He played for Swindon for one season.
