Dervio

Dervio is a town and comune (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located on the eastern shore of Lake Como, at the mouth of the Varrone Valley.

Geography

Dervio is situated approximately 70 kilometers (43 miles) north of Milan and about 25 kilometers (16 miles) northwest of Lecco. It borders the comuni of Colico, Cremia (CO), Dorio, Introzzo, Pianello del Lario (CO), and Sueglio. The town's location on the lake makes it a popular destination for water sports, particularly sailing and windsurfing. The surrounding mountainous terrain also offers opportunities for hiking and climbing.

History
