Mel Blanc

Mel Blanc (May 30, 1908 – July 10, 1989) was an American voice actor, radio personality, and comedian. He is regarded as one of the most prolific and influential voice actors in the history of entertainment, renowned for his work with Warner Bros. Animation during the golden age of American animation.

Blanc was the voice of many iconic cartoon characters, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Tweety Bird, Sylvester the Cat, Yosemite Sam, Wile E. Coyote, the Tasmanian Devil, and many others. His distinctive voice work and ability to create unique personalities for each character made him a legend in the animation industry.

Beyond Warner Bros., Blanc also voiced characters for other studios, including Woody Woodpecker at Walter Lantz Productions and Barney Rubble in The Flintstones. He also had a successful career in radio, appearing on numerous shows and hosting his own program, The Mel Blanc Show.

Blanc's remarkable vocal range, comedic timing, and dedication to his craft earned him numerous awards and accolades. He is widely considered the "Man of 1000 Voices," and his contributions to animation and entertainment continue to be celebrated. He is interred at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
