John White (running back, born 1991)

John White (born January 20, 1991) is a former American football running back. He played college football at Michigan State University.

White was a highly touted recruit coming out of Orchard Lake St. Mary's High School in Michigan. During his time at Michigan State, he rushed for over 1,000 yards in the 2011 season. He also contributed significantly in the passing game, recording numerous receptions throughout his collegiate career. He was known for his agility, speed, and ability to make defenders miss in the open field.

After going undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, White signed with the Atlanta Falcons. He spent time on the Falcons' practice squad. He has also played in the Canadian Football League (CFL), primarily for the Edmonton Eskimos (now Edmonton Elks) and the Montreal Alouettes. During his CFL career, he showcased his versatility as a receiver and runner. White announced his retirement from professional football in 2021.
