James Alfred Pearce (judge)
James Alfred Pearce (1883-1968) was an American lawyer and judge who served as an Associate Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals from 1948 to 1953.
Pearce was born in Chestertown, Maryland. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington College and his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law.
Before his appointment to the Court of Appeals, Pearce practiced law in Chestertown and served as a judge on the Circuit Court for the Second Judicial Circuit of Maryland.
During his tenure on the Court of Appeals, Pearce participated in numerous significant cases. His legal career was marked by a commitment to upholding the law and serving the people of Maryland. After retiring from the bench, he remained active in legal and community affairs until his death.
