Mean Girls (2024 film)

Mean Girls (2024 film) is a 2024 American musical teen comedy film directed by Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr., and written by Tina Fey. It is a film adaptation of the 2018 Broadway musical of the same name, which in turn is based on Fey's 2004 film Mean Girls. The film stars Angourie Rice, Reneé Rapp (reprising her Broadway role as Regina George), Auli'i Cravalho, Christopher Briney, Bebe Wood, Avantika Vandanapu, Jenna Fischer, Busy Philipps, and Tina Fey (reprising her role as Ms. Norbury).

The film's plot generally follows the same narrative as the 2004 film and the Broadway musical: Cady Heron, a homeschooled teenager, enrolls in a public high school for the first time and navigates the complex social hierarchy, ultimately clashing with "The Plastics," a clique of popular and influential girls led by Regina George.
