Matt Willis (American football)
Matt Willis is a former American football linebacker. He played college football at UCLA, where he was a key player for the Bruins defense.
After college, Willis was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played for the Ravens for four seasons (2004-2007), primarily as a special teams contributor and backup linebacker.
In 2008, Willis signed with the Denver Broncos, where he played for one season. He then played for the New Orleans Saints in 2009, where he won Super Bowl XLIV as a member of the team. He recorded one tackle in the Super Bowl.
Following his time with the Saints, Willis signed with the Detroit Lions in 2010. He played for the Lions for two seasons (2010-2011) before retiring from the NFL.
During his NFL career, Willis was known for his speed, athleticism, and special teams play.
