HMS E38

HMS E38 was a British E-class submarine built by John Thornycroft & Company at Woolston. She was launched on 21 December 1916 and commissioned on 13 January 1917.

E38 served in the First World War, primarily operating in the North Sea and the English Channel. She was involved in anti-submarine patrols and attacks against enemy shipping. While her wartime service was largely uneventful in terms of major victories, she played a part in the overall British submarine campaign.

After the war, HMS E38 was sold on 6 September 1922. Her ultimate fate following the sale is not widely documented.
