Bolesław of Cieszyn (died 1356)

Bolesław of Cieszyn (c. 1331/32 – between 18 May and 4 August 1356) was a Duke of Cieszyn and Bytom-Koźle from 1336 until his death. He was the only son of Duke Władysław of Cieszyn and his wife Euphrosyne of Mazovia.

Bolesław inherited the Duchy of Cieszyn in 1336 following his father's death. Since he was a minor at the time, the regency was held by his mother, Euphrosyne, and his uncle, Duke Albert of Strzelce. His minority ended in 1355, and he assumed full control of the duchy.

In 1337, Bolesław, along with his mother and uncle, formally swore homage to King John of Bohemia, placing the Duchy of Cieszyn under Bohemian suzerainty. This act cemented Cieszyn's position within the Kingdom of Bohemia.

Bolesław's reign was short, lasting only about a year after he came of age. He died unexpectedly in 1356, leaving no heirs. His death triggered a succession crisis in Cieszyn. He was succeeded by his uncle, Przemysław I Noszak, marking the end of the direct line of Władysław of Cieszyn.
