The Standard (Hong Kong)
The Standard (Hong Kong) is an English-language free newspaper published in Hong Kong. It was formerly known as the Hong Kong Standard and Hongkong Standard.
Originally a paid newspaper, it switched to a free distribution model in September 2007. It is distributed primarily in Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, and Tsim Sha Tsui, along with selected residential areas and MTR stations.
The Standard is owned by Sing Tao News Corporation Limited. It provides news coverage on local, regional, and international events, with a focus on business and finance. The paper also includes sections dedicated to lifestyle, entertainment, and sports. Its main competitor is the Hong Kong Daily News.
