Marv Levy

Marv Levy (born August 3, 1925) is a former American football coach and executive. He is best known for his tenure as the head coach of the Buffalo Bills from 1986 to 1997, during which he led the team to an unprecedented four consecutive Super Bowl appearances (Super Bowl XXV, XXVI, XXVII, and XXVIII). Although the Bills lost all four of these Super Bowls, Levy is credited with building a high-powered offense and fostering a strong team culture that resulted in sustained success.

Levy's coaching career spanned several decades and included stints in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the Bills, he coached the Kansas City Chiefs from 1978 to 1982. He also served as head coach of the Montreal Alouettes, leading them to two Grey Cup victories in the CFL.

Known for his intellectual approach to the game and his emphasis on sportsmanship, Levy is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, inducted in 2001. He is also a published author, having written several books on leadership and coaching. After retiring from coaching, Levy served as the General Manager of the Buffalo Bills from 2006 to 2007. He remains a respected figure in the football world and a symbol of success in Buffalo.
