Tony Caig

Tony Caig (born 21 January 1974 in Cleator Moor, England) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper.

Caig began his career at Middlesbrough, where he progressed through the youth ranks but found first-team opportunities limited. He subsequently joined Barnsley in 1998, where he established himself as a first-team regular and became known for his shot-stopping abilities.

Following a spell at Barnsley, Caig moved to Rochdale in 2000. He spent several seasons with Rochdale, making numerous appearances and contributing to the team's performances in the lower leagues of English football.

After his time at Rochdale, Caig had a brief stint at Vancouver Whitecaps in Canada before returning to England. He later played for several non-league clubs, including Barrow and Gretna.

Caig's career was marked by periods of consistent performance in the lower divisions of English football, and he earned a reputation as a reliable and experienced goalkeeper. He retired from professional football in 2010.
