Hairshirt (film)
Hairshirt is a 1998 independent dark comedy film directed by Dean Parisot and starring Dean Cain and Neve Campbell. The film follows the story of John Decker (Cain), a Wall Street hotshot who suddenly loses his job and wealth. As a result, he joins a Catholic monastery, seeking solace and a simpler life, as a sort of penance. He meets, and becomes attracted to, a nun named Renata (Campbell). The film explores themes of faith, redemption, and the clash between secular ambition and spiritual fulfillment. It received mixed reviews upon release.
