Moira (horse)
Moira was a British Thoroughbred racehorse foaled in 1803. She was owned and trained by Sir Charles Bunbury, a prominent figure in early British horseracing and one of the original members of the Jockey Club.
Moira is best known for winning the 1806 Epsom Oaks, a prestigious Classic race for three-year-old fillies. Her victory in the Oaks contributed to Bunbury's already impressive record in Classic races. Details about her pedigree and subsequent breeding career are limited in readily available historical records, making it difficult to fully assess her impact on Thoroughbred breeding lines. However, her Oaks victory cemented her place in the history of British horseracing.
