Garry Peters (gridiron football)
Garry Peters (born August 10, 1992) is a professional gridiron football defensive back who is currently a member of the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Peters played college football at the University of Cincinnati. During his time with the Bearcats, he was a key contributor to the team's defensive secondary.
After going undrafted in the National Football League (NFL), Peters signed with the Cleveland Browns in 2015. He spent time on the Browns' practice squad and was later released.
In 2016, Peters signed with the Edmonton Eskimos (later renamed Edmonton Elks) of the CFL. He established himself as a reliable defensive back in the CFL, playing for the Eskimos for multiple seasons.
In 2021, Peters signed with the BC Lions. He continues to be a significant part of the Lions' defense, contributing with tackles, interceptions, and pass breakups. Peters is known for his aggressive style of play and his ability to cover opposing receivers effectively.
