Marcus Miller (album)

Marcus Miller is the self-titled debut studio album by American jazz bassist Marcus Miller, released in 1984 on Warner Bros. Records. The album showcases Miller's multi-instrumental talents, as he performs bass, keyboards, synthesizers, saxophone, and drum programming on many of the tracks.

The album blends elements of funk, soul, jazz, and R&B, establishing a signature sound that would become characteristic of Miller's later work.
