William Young (footballer, born 1884)

William Young (born 1884, date of death unknown) was a Scottish footballer who played as a forward.

Young began his senior career with Scottish Junior club Irvine Meadow, before joining Scottish League First Division side Heart of Midlothian in 1906. He remained at Tynecastle for two seasons, making limited appearances.

In 1908, he moved to England and signed for Southern League club Swindon Town. He enjoyed a more prominent role at Swindon, featuring regularly for the club during his spell there. Details regarding his playing career after leaving Swindon are currently unknown.
