Thomas Kretschmer (politician)

Thomas Kretschmer (born March 17, 1954) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU).

Kretschmer served as a member of the German Bundestag from 2002 to 2021, representing the constituency of Leipzig-Land. During his time in parliament, he focused on issues related to energy policy, environmental protection, and regional development. He was a member of the Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy, and held various positions within the CDU/CSU parliamentary group.
