Lybidska (Kyiv Metro)

Lybidska is a station on the Obolonsko–Teremkivska Line (Line M2) of the Kyiv Metro. It is located in the Holosiivskyi Raion of Kyiv, Ukraine. The station opened on December 30, 1984, as part of the first segment of the line, connecting between Chervonoarmiyska (now Palats Ukraina) and Obolon (now Heroiv Dnipra).

Lybidska is a deep-level pylon station, meaning it features a central hall separated from the platform tunnels by rows of columns (pylons). The station's design emphasizes light-colored marble and metallic elements.

The station is named after the Lybid River, a small river that flows through Kyiv. The area surrounding the station is a major commercial and transportation hub. Surface transport connections are readily available near the station entrance. Key landmarks in the vicinity include the Ukraina Shopping Mall and the National University of Food Technologies.

The station is heavily used, especially during peak hours, due to its strategic location and connection to surface transport. Lybidska is one stop south of Palats "Ukraina" and one stop north of Demiivska. During periods of increased military tension or security alerts, Lybidska, like other Kyiv Metro stations, may serve as a bomb shelter.
