Luis Flores (footballer, born 1964)

Luis Flores Ocaranza (born August 18, 1964) is a retired Mexican footballer who played as a forward. He is best known for his time with UNAM Pumas and Cruz Azul in the Mexican Primera División, as well as his appearances for the Mexico national team.

Flores began his professional career with UNAM Pumas in 1981, quickly establishing himself as a key player. He was a part of the Pumas team that won the Mexican Primera División title in the 1980-81 season. His goal-scoring ability and technical skills made him a popular figure among fans.

In 1988, Flores transferred to Cruz Azul, where he continued to be a prolific goalscorer. He played for Cruz Azul until 1993. After leaving Cruz Azul, Flores played for Atlas and Chivas Guadalajara before retiring from professional football.

Flores represented Mexico at the 1986 FIFA World Cup, hosted by Mexico. He made several appearances for the national team throughout the 1980s, earning caps and contributing goals in various international competitions.

After retiring from professional football, Flores has remained involved in the sport, often appearing as a television analyst and commentator for football matches in Mexico. He is remembered as one of the talented Mexican forwards of his generation.
