Lord Eldon (1802 EIC ship)

The Lord Eldon was an East Indiaman launched in 1802 for the British East India Company (EIC). She made six voyages for the EIC to India and China before being sold in 1817.

EIC Voyages:

The Lord Eldon primarily transported goods and personnel between England and the East. Her voyages typically involved stops at various ports in India, such as Madras (Chennai) and Calcutta (Kolkata), as well as destinations in China, particularly Canton (Guangzhou). The cargo consisted of a variety of goods including tea, spices, textiles, and manufactured goods. Passengers included EIC officials, military personnel, and private individuals travelling to and from British territories in the East.
