George Taylor (footballer, born 1948)

George Taylor (born 28 February 1948) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a left back.

Taylor began his career with Dundee, where he made over 200 league appearances. He was a key member of the Dundee side that reached the semi-finals of the 1967-68 Scottish Cup.

In 1976, Taylor moved to Heart of Midlothian, where he spent two seasons. He then signed for Brechin City, finishing his senior playing career with them.

After retiring from professional football, Taylor continued to play at the junior level.
