Ray Walker (actor)

Ray Walker (born August 13, 1904, Newark, New Jersey – died October 6, 1980, Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California) was an American actor who appeared in over 400 films and television programs during his career. He was primarily a character actor, often cast in supporting roles such as reporters, cab drivers, bartenders, and detectives.

Walker's career began in the 1930s and continued into the 1970s. He frequently appeared in uncredited roles, but he also had more substantial parts in films like The Public Enemy (1931), The Thin Man (1934), Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (1936), You Can't Take It With You (1938), Arsenic and Old Lace (1944), and It's a Wonderful Life (1946). He was adept at playing tough guys and men from the streets, bringing authenticity to his roles.

In addition to his film work, Walker made numerous appearances on television shows, including The Adventures of Superman, The Lone Ranger, Perry Mason, Gunsmoke, and I Love Lucy.
