Another Sky (band)

Another Sky were a British alternative rock band formed in Nottingham, England, in 2014. The band consisted of Catrin Vincent (vocals, keyboards), Jack Gilbert (guitar), Naomi Macleod (bass), and James Harrison (drums). They were known for their atmospheric soundscapes, blending elements of dream pop, art rock, and post-punk, often accompanied by politically charged and introspective lyrics.

Their sound was characterized by Vincent's distinctive, powerful vocals and the band's use of textured guitars and dynamic rhythms. They drew comparisons to artists such as Radiohead, PJ Harvey, and The Cure.

Another Sky released a series of EPs and singles, including "Brave Face," "Forget Yourself," and "Avalanche," building a dedicated fanbase and receiving critical acclaim. Their debut album, "I Slept on the Floor," was released in 2020 to positive reviews, exploring themes of social injustice, mental health, and environmental concerns.

The band announced their breakup in 2023, citing the challenges of maintaining the project and pursuing individual paths. Their final release was the EP "Beach Day," which featured unreleased tracks and live recordings. Although their time as a band was relatively short, Another Sky left a significant mark on the alternative music scene with their unique sound and powerful songwriting.
