Le Muséon

Le Muséon is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the study of Oriental and Semitic philology, history, and culture. Founded in 1882 by Charles de Harlez, it is one of the oldest journals in its field. Le Muséon publishes articles in French, English, German, and occasionally other languages, covering a wide range of topics related to the ancient Near East, including ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, the Levant, Arabia, and other regions influenced by Semitic languages and cultures. The journal is known for its rigorous scholarship and its focus on original research based on primary sources. It is currently published by Peeters Publishers.
