Larry Quinn (ice hockey)

Larry Quinn is a former American ice hockey executive and attorney. He is best known for his ownership and management roles in professional hockey, particularly with the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Quinn, a lawyer by profession, became involved in the Sabres organization in the 1990s. He played a key role in navigating the team through financial difficulties and ownership changes. He served as the managing partner and later as the majority owner of the Sabres. During his tenure, the team reached the Stanley Cup Finals in 1999.

Quinn was also instrumental in the construction of the then-HSBC Arena (now KeyBank Center), the Sabres' home arena. He also played a significant role in labor negotiations between the NHL and the NHL Players' Association (NHLPA).

Beyond the Sabres, Quinn has been involved in other business ventures and civic endeavors in the Buffalo area. His contributions to the city included efforts to revitalize the downtown area. He eventually sold his controlling interest in the Sabres in 2011.
