F-Punk

F-Punk, also sometimes referred to as Future Punk, is a microgenre of electronic dance music (EDM) and related visual aesthetic that draws influence from funk music, particularly its basslines and rhythmic complexity, combined with futurist or cyberpunk themes. Musically, F-Punk emphasizes synthesizers, heavily processed drums, and often incorporates vocoders or other vocal effects to create a robotic or digitized sound.

The visual component of F-Punk tends to incorporate neon colors, geometric shapes, futuristic cityscapes, and imagery reminiscent of cyberpunk fiction, often drawing on themes of technology, artificial intelligence, and dystopia. There is often a strong connection to the vaporwave and synthwave movements, although F-Punk typically has a more dance-oriented and energetic feel.

While not a mainstream genre, F-Punk enjoys a dedicated following online and within specific electronic music communities. Its origins are somewhat nebulous, developing organically from the cross-pollination of funk-inspired electronic music and futurist aesthetics.
