Hilda Raz

Hilda Raz (born 1936) is an American poet, essayist, editor, and educator. Known for her unflinching explorations of the body, aging, illness, and the complexities of female experience, her work often blends the personal with the political and philosophical.

Raz is the author of numerous poetry collections, including Trans, All Odd and Splendid, Divine Honors, What Becomes You, The Bone Dish, and Apprehensions. She is also the editor of Prairie Schooner, a nationally recognized literary journal published at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
