Mohamed Camara (footballer, born January 2000)

Mohamed Camara (born January 6, 2000) is a Malian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Ligue 1 club AS Monaco and the Mali national team.

Camara began his professional career with Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg, joining their youth academy in 2018. He was initially loaned to FC Liefering, Salzburg's feeder club in the Austrian Second League, where he gained valuable first-team experience.

He returned to Red Bull Salzburg and became a key member of their squad, contributing significantly to their Austrian Bundesliga title wins and appearances in the UEFA Champions League. His performances earned him recognition as one of the top defensive midfielders in the Austrian league.

In August 2022, Camara transferred to AS Monaco in Ligue 1.

Camara is a Mali international, having represented his country at various youth levels before making his senior debut. He has since become a regular in the national team, participating in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and other international competitions.
