Kapo (mythology)

Kapo is a fertility and agricultural goddess in Hawaiian mythology. She is often associated with the growth and abundance of kalo (taro), a staple food in the Hawaiian diet, as well as other plants.

Kapo is described in various legends, often as a sister of the volcano goddess Pele, although their relationship can be complex and sometimes adversarial.
