Ute Vogt

Ute Vogt (born October 3, 1964, in Heidelberg) is a German politician belonging to the Social Democratic Party (SPD).

Vogt studied law at the University of Heidelberg and completed her second state examination in law in 1993. She worked as a lawyer until entering the Bundestag.

Vogt served as a Member of the German Bundestag from 1994 to 2009 and again from 2013 to 2021, representing the Stuttgart I constituency. During her time in parliament, she focused primarily on domestic policy and legal affairs. She was known for her work on data protection and security issues.

Within the SPD parliamentary group, Vogt held several leadership positions. She served as the domestic policy spokeswoman and also as a deputy parliamentary group leader, responsible for domestic, legal, and consumer protection policy.
