The Miracles (album)

The Miracles is the debut studio album by the American vocal group The Miracles, released on Motown Records' Tamla label in 1961. Originally titled Hi! We're The Miracles, the album's name was later simplified. It features several of the group's early hit singles, including "Shop Around," their first million-selling record, "Way Over There," "I'll Try Something New," and "What's So Good About Goodbye." The album helped establish The Miracles as a major act and contributed to the early success of Motown Records. The songs on the album are primarily composed by Berry Gordy Jr., Smokey Robinson, and other Motown songwriters. The musical style is representative of early Motown sound, characterized by upbeat tempos, catchy melodies, and close vocal harmonies.
