Scion tC
The Scion tC was a compact coupe manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation under its Scion brand from 2005 to 2016. Marketed towards young consumers, the tC (touring Coupe) was known for its sporty styling, standard features, and relatively affordable price point.
The first generation tC (model years 2005-2010) featured a 2.4-liter inline-four engine. Key features included a standard panoramic sunroof, sport bucket seats, and a Pioneer sound system. It was available with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.
The second generation tC (model years 2011-2016) received a redesigned exterior and interior, along with a more powerful 2.5-liter inline-four engine. It retained the panoramic sunroof and continued to offer sporty handling. Transmission options included a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic.
The Scion tC was discontinued along with the entire Scion brand in August 2016, with Toyota integrating many of Scion's models, including the tC's indirect successor, the 86 (formerly Scion FR-S), into the Toyota lineup.
