Ugetsu (album)
Ugetsu is a 1996 album by the American post-rock band Tortoise. It is a primarily instrumental album, known for its minimalist and atmospheric sound, incorporating elements of jazz, dub, and electronic music. Ugetsu features the band's signature blend of interlocking rhythms, textural exploration, and unconventional instrumentation. The album is considered a significant work in the development of the post-rock genre. It is named after the 1953 Japanese film Ugetsu Monogatari (Tales of Ugetsu) directed by Kenji Mizoguchi.
